National Footwear Product Search Tips

The product search box is a convenient method for people to search
a specific product by item number, brand, style, features, color or combination of terms.
These search tips will help you find the shoes or accessories you search.
Search by brand - There are links on the left side for popular brands of shoes we carry.
If you are searching for footwear accessories, you can type the brand or description in the search box.
For example, you can search for wintertrax or WinterTrax. The search is NOT case-sensitive.
Search by features - There are links on the left side for some popular features of work and safety shoes.
You can type these terms in the search box.
We were careful to describe NON safety toe shoes as plain toe shoes or simply not say NON safety toe
to make sure those shoes do NOT appear when people search for safety shoes!
Popular features include composite (toe), conductive (safety), EH rated (safety), ESD rated (safety),
insulated, metatarsal, safety toe, slip resistant and waterproof footwear.
You can type 'EH' for EH rated shoes and 'ESD' or 'SD' for ESD rated shoes.
It is much easier than trying to spell electrical hazard shoes or static dissipative shoes.
You can type 'meta' to find metatarsal products.
Search by style - You can search for popular types of shoes such as oxford, chukka, slip on, dress shoe or casual shoe.
When searching for slip on shoes, please type 'slip on' and not just 'slip' or you may find slip resistant shoes.
Please type 'slip resistant' and not just 'slip' for more accurate results.
Some people misspell words and do not find what they want in the search results.
For example, many people misspell metatarsal. If you can't spellcheck and you are unsure, try the sitemap.
Search by name - You can search for popular names of shoes such as Constance from SoftSpots.
You would see all colors of Constance shoes. If you type 'constance navy' in the search box, you would only see Constance in navy color.
You can type 'titan' without having to type Timberland.
Search by gender - You can search for products by gender.
You can type women or women's for shoes and insoles that are just for women.
The apostrophe may be included or excluded when typed, both will provide results.
If you type ladies or girls, you will not find anything. Please substitute with women.
Note: If you search for men's products, women's products will also appear
(because the word 'men' appears in the word 'woMEN').
We hope to change that in the future.
Search combinations - You can search for
a brand and style such as Bates postal shoes,
a brand and color such as Hush Puppies black,
a brand and the word 'coupon' to see if there are coupons for the brand,
women's and a type such as women's casual,
women's and a feature such as womens esd,
women's and a color such as womens white.
There are many different combinations that may provide unexpected results.
For example, if you type golden, you will see Golden Retriever brand shoes
and shoes that may be golden in color.
If you want to search for insoles, type 'insoles accessories' to only see insoles.
By adding the product category named accessories, you will only see products in that category
and won't see every shoe that describes insoles in your search results.
